Work of the Belhelvie Community Council

What is a community council and what do we do

The Belhelvie Community Council is a voluntary organisation which represents the residents of Balmedie, Belhelvie, Potterton, Blackdog and Whitecairns.

We aim to bridge the gap between our communities and local authorities.  We represent resident's views on issues such as planning permission, licensing applications and major infrastructure developments.

The community council is run by volunteers and meetings are open to everyone to attend. We meet every third Monday at 7pm.

Regular topics include: local planning applications, police service reports, work with other community groups (the Belhelvie Community Trust, Balmedie Country Park, residents groups in Potterton and Blackdog), local transport and major infrastructure development.
